The Expulsion that Brought Hamas to Power

The AP reports: Israeli Avi Zana listened with horror on Thursday to news that the Hamas militant group that killed his son had won Palestinian elections. "The Palestinians have shown their true face by electing Hamas," said Zana, 46. "The group does not want control of the Palestinian Authority, it wants control of all Israel." On the streets of the Jewish state, there was grave concern at the victory of the Hamas movement that carried out nearly 60 suicide bombings during a Palestinian uprising and is formally dedicated to destroying Israel. "It is hard not to be even more pessimistic now about peacemaking prospects here," said Shimi Breutman, 22, a travel guide. "We could see this whole place engulfed in even further chaos. Israel has to tread very carefully." Israel, joined by the United States, refuses to negotiate with Hamas until it disarms and changes its charter. Tovya says: Are you surprised that so many "Palestinians" voted for Hamas? Think about it. When we expelled thousands of Jews from Gush Katif without demanding a thing in return, the Arabs knew that we did so out of war fatigue. They knew that we were weak, and Hamas reiterated that message to the voters. We sent the "Palestinians" a clear message: Hamas terrorism caused Israel to run. Elect Hamas and you will see more of the same. It means nothing that the American government does not recognize Hamas, nor does it mean anything that Israel will refuse to negotiate with them prior to their acceptance of a Jewish state. Both the U.S. and Israel only recognized Hamas as a terrorist group prior to the elections, so why do you think they are concerned now? They are funded by Iran and Syria, not the European Union or the United States. More importantly, the Gush Katif expulsion was done so outside of the realm of negotiations; so really, we gave Hamas the victory ourselves. We did not negotiate with the "Palestinian" government; we tucked our tail and ran from Gaza. Please do not think that this is the end of the expulsions either. We didn't negotiate Gush Katif away in September of last year. We gave it away without expecting anything in return. Therefore, the fact that Israel refuses to negotiate with Hamas is hot air. The only thing that it means is that when we assasinate a Hamas terrorist leader, now we are officially killing a member of the "Palestinian" parliament. I can already hear the deafening world cries against Israel. I can already hear the moans that the Jewish state is trying to "crush Palestinian democracy". I smell danger in all of this, and I don't like it. Hamas was given a warrant to murder Jews under the protection of diplomatic status, and yet we will no doubt continue down the road map to suicide. Yesha will soon be surrounded by the IDF, and more Jews will be homeless. Don't let your guard down by thinking that the "road map" is over. It is just the beginning. No matter who is in power over the "Palestinians", the results will be the same; more terrorism, and more appeasement by our gutless Jewish leadership.

Great point!
The real motivating force which has always been behind the Palestinians was absolutely confirmed.

Isn't it better to know we are dealing with terrorist that pose as terrorists rather than terrorists posing as policiticans? The result doesn't suprise me, it's time for the international comminity to wake up and see what is on the other side of the fence.

I agree wholeheartidly, but I won't hold my breath waiting for the world to come out of its slumber. I think the average human being is a numb skull that can't see beyond his/her nose.

ifyouwillit makes a very good point that I stand behind 100%. If prior to these elections we had terrorists-posing-as-partners in power now we're dealing with terrorists who own at least own up to being terrorists(kippa-tip to Muqata).

The election results may actually lead to the improvement of relations between various Israeli right wing parties so that we may finally have at least some kind of union right of Kadima.

I see this as a move forwards. Now maybe some people who had their doubts will recognize the pallis for who they really are: brutal, spineless beasts with one thing on their mind: the annihilation of Israel and the Jewish people.

Hope's always here, Eitan.

Your right about this Zion. The israeli leaders are decieved Like Isaiah 28 14-15 Says this is a Peace Contract of death and Hell, and we can see why hamas will be in control of the Arabs.

Isaiah 28:14-15
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

In a way, I'm sort of "glad" they voted for Hamas, because now the world no choice but to see the Palestnians as the terrorist- supporting Israel-haters we've known them to be all along. For far too long, they've been hiding behind the excuse that Arafat and Abbas had stopped them from speaking out against terrorism. Well, a few days ago, they were finally given a chance to speak for themselves, and they used it to voice their support for terrorism. The "peaceful Palestinian majority is a myth. Too bad it took a Hamas victory for the rest of the world to figure it out. Shalom.

Eitan:

Excellent point on the union of the Right Wing parties. For some reason, that idea escaped me. Thanks for bringing the possibility to my attention.

Stan:

Thanks for the compliment.

YK:

Very true. I just wish the media would ride that line to print.

The worst part is that one media outlet in particular was towing the idea that "Israel gave the Palestinians NOTHING" (as in no land)... they forgot about Gush Katif I suppose? That was the reason why Hamas was elected according to them... because we gave them nothing? Are they kidding me?

A lot of media is writing this up as a victory for democracy for the Palis. Bullshit--excuse my french--my G-d what is going to happen now? I have a friend coming there next week on birthright for three weeks, pray for her safety. THe good thing is though we know who they are and what they stand for and like I said before, we will get them all on one land and when they attack we can now level their country with them on it.. Lets see what happens.

On a side note, I think the Jews living in the territories need to get out before Palestine becomes an official state..

P.S. Tovya- Happy JF

Tova: the Jews in Yesha need to STAY if only to prevent a pali state from coming to existence. The "settlement" of Jewish lands whether in Tel-Aviv or in Judea and Samaria is a primary Zionist concern. It has been since '67.

What are u thinking, man???

Eitan.

No regreg- I say get the jews out of the land. Form a Pali state so that when they attack our guys and gals are off the land and nuke their sorry asses--the palis that is-- I am not one to advocate hate but I see the destruction they are wrecking and the lies they are spreading here in the states and it is evil.. So destroy them but you can't do that while they are "refugees". Sorry sons of well you know. I used to sypathize for them but now I can't stand them..

Of course the palis are saying hamas drove the Jews out of the settlements. Talk about a recruting tactic! Can't you just see all the young boys hanging around hamas men listening to them brag about their firefights with IDF and how they won and the Jews are gone from certain areas? Only crazy people cede territory to the enemy.
